Results obtained in the last 14 years

This programme has enabled 4,700 less-abled children in the slums of Madras city and 1,570 children in the villages of  North Arcot district to join the regular schools and thus integrated them in the mainstream of education.

• Provided orthopaedic appliances and given training to 1,740 less-abled children to use it to their advantage.
• Provided tricycles for 320 less-abled children to enhance their mobility
• Offered vocational training to 940 less-abled children to learn skills - sewing, weaving, composing and printing etc.

CEDMA works closely with the Government of  Tamil Nadu, Non-governmental Organisations and Social action groups to meet the many needs of  less-abled children.
